Tip: Tools for Differentiation > Literacy Across Contents
Literacy is a cross-content skill that all learners need to develop, no matter what age level and content you teach. In any subject and at any age, there is always an opportunity to embed reading into your curriculum and supplement it with texts. Use a free education account from Newsela or CommonLit to find and select both literary and informational, real-world texts related to the content you are teaching, provide choice and voice of what texts learners consume, and adapt the reading level of the texts to meet different learners’ needs.
Bonus: Use Grammarly to help you with effective written communication in any content area!
