Creating thought-provoking questions is an art. Consider some of these tips when designing questions to take thinking to a new level.
When questioning:
- Listen to yourself to catch poorly designed questions; pause, and rephrase them.
- Include “why,” “what” and “how.” They require more thoughtful responses than “who,” “when,” “where” and “which.”
- Avoid questions that can be answered with a “yes” or “no.”
