This month’s #emintsTips are all about how to use AI-generated content as a starting point for planning and level up your instruction of that content in each of the four #eMINTS Instructional Model Quadrants: High-quality Lesson Design, Community of Learners, Authentic Learning, and Powered by Technology.


Next up is #CommunityOfLearners: Last month, we used the example of using @Canva for Education’s Magic Tools to “Create a presentation about cells to teach 10th-grade Biology students.” 


Take the presentation that the Canva Presentation™ AI tool generated, and add your own human touch. Here are some steps to level up AI learning within the Community of Learners quadrant:

  1. Change the settings of the design’s Collaboration Link to “Anyone with the link” “Can edit.”
  2. Copy the link and embed it on your LMS platform.
  3. Allow students to simultaneously add to/edit/revise your AI-generated presentation together.
  4. Build a collaborative community of learners by facilitating this interdependence and teamwork.
