Tip: 3D Printer > Maintenance
SKU:
Help your students identify these strategies to maintain the 3D Printer.
- Extruder: An extruder nozzle that’s clean and clear prevents clogs & misprints.
- Z-Axis Rod: A z-axis rod raises and lowers the bed, without grease it sticks & jerks.
- .gcode Files: Libraries of .gcodes can get disorganized. Try a prefix for courses, hours, or projects to keep them sorted.
- Build Plate: Painters’ tape is often recommended to prevent scratches and help you lift off the final print.
Knowing if the issue is in the printer rather than the print removes frustrations. Designs are dependent on the designers’ ability to keep the machine healthy.
