Paint Swatch Secret Ballot

Use this creative strategy to group learners up by colors. Obtain paint swatches of each color for the number of participants you want in one group. (Exa.: 5 green, 5 red, 5 blue, etc.) Ask individuals to choose a color swatch, and write their name on it. Those swatches go into a tub as if they were a secret ballot box. Because there are a few swatches left at the end, the last few participants called could get the special task of pulling out swatches and/or directing peers on how to group up.
