SKU:
When evaluating the reliability of a source, check that the source is: balanced and impartial, current and up-to-date, accurate and true, and professional and user-friendly.
You might ask yourself the following questions:
Accuracy
- Are sources cited?
- Can information be verified?
- Is the content free of errors?
Objectivity
- Is there any evident partiality?
- Is advertising clearly separated from content?
- Are multiple viewpoints presented?
Currency
- When was the content last updated?
- Are there recent references?
- Is the information still relevant?
Appearance
- Is the site well-organized?
- Do all links work?
- Is the design professional and user-friendly?
The more positive answers to these questions, the more likely the website is a quality source.
