Tip: Teacher Tranquility Tips > Remember Your HOW
Everyone always tells #teachers to “Remember your WHY,” but we sometimes forget to focus on “Remembering the HOW.”
You already know your “why.” Yes, remember your “why” to re-energize and put you in a positive mood, but don’t stop there. Also, remember your HOW! Take the big, abstract idea of the “why,” and turn it into concrete action with the “how.” What obtainable and manageable steps can you take to get there? What tangible items can you check off your list? What is and is not within your control? Take charge of what you can control, and let go of what you can’t.
Here are 4 easy ways to focus on what you can control:
- Make a list.
- Practice breathing and mindfulness. (Check out our tips for these from earlier in this #TipCard series!)
- Cultivate positivity.
- Maintain a “Can-do” Attitude.
